# How to Create an Objective

## [Create a New Objective in the OKRs Section](https://app.arcade.software/share/ZnKsTaOCh6kfgNNY8c0I)

#### 1. Begin by navigating to the Objectives section from the sidebar menu.

#### 2. Click the New Objective button to start creating a new objective.

#### 3. Choose the Owner field to assign responsibility for the new objective.

#### 4. Assign the objective to the desired person by selecting their name from the Owner dropdown.

#### 5. Select the appropriate Impact Field to define the area this objective will affect.

#### 6. Enter a clear description that outlines the purpose and scope of the objective.

#### 7. Open the OKR Assistant dropdown if you want guided support or a template for your new objective.

#### 8. Select OKR Assistant to access suggested objectives or automation features.

#### 10. Click Generate OKR to have an objective automatically created based on your input.

#### 11. Apply a recommended objective template by clicking Apply This OKR.

#### 12. Use the Status dropdown to indicate the current progress of the objective.

#### 13. Click the End Date field to specify when the objective should be completed.

#### 14. Select the finishing date using the calendar to set a target completion.

#### 15. Review or update the objective's status as needed for accurate tracking.

#### 16. Navigate to future months using the right arrow in the date picker.

#### 17. Continue to the next month if your desired date is not currently visible.

#### 18. Choose the appropriate day in the calendar for your objective's timeframe.

#### 19. Click Create Objective to finalize and save your new objective.

#### 20. Confirm the creation of your objective by submitting the form.
